HOW TO GET BETTER ANSWERS FROM AI
The quality of the answer often depends on the quality of the prompt.
1. GIVE CONTEXT
AI works best when it understands the situation.
❌ Bad Prompt:
Does the school have to do a transition plan?
✅ Better Prompt:
My child received HHI for several months due to disability-related barriers to school attendance. The school ended HHI without a transition meeting. Under Section 504, what obligations might the school have when transitioning a student back to school?

AI works best when it understands the situation.
- Include important background information.
- Explain what happened before asking a question.
- Identify the student’s disability-related needs.
- Include relevant dates, meetings, and decisions.
- Share the goal you are trying to achieve.
- The more accurate the context, the more useful the answer.
2. PROVIDE REDACTED DOCUMENTS
